Youngest DJ in the world?

FOUR-year-old John Rakestraw is bidding to be the youngest DJ in the world when he broadcasts his very own hour long show on Radio Warrington – the town’s community radio station.
Little John looks set to become the youngest DJ in the world when he broadcasts on 87.8 FM from 8-am-9am tomorrow (Sunday).
His dad, Stephen Rakestraw, known as Steve Lewis on the radio, has been keen to encourage him to do a one hour show on Radio Warrington during their 28 day broadcast on 87.8 and he has recorded a show which will be going out on their final day on FM.
The proud station manager said “We have done some research and the youngest DJ that we can find is an eight-year old boy from Weston Super Mare”.
John is music mad and is keen to do a regular spot on Radio Warrington. During the show he will talk about Christmas and promote some local events taking place in the next few weeks.
After tomorrow Radio Warrington will only be available to listeners on the internet via www.radiowarrington.co.uk
They intend to apply for a full time licence when Ofcom invite applications next year.
The month long FM broadcast has been possible thanks to the support of Warrington Borough Council, Network Warrington and Warrington Market – as well as a band of dedicated volunteers who have been broadcast online for more than five years.
