A WARRINGTON road will be temporarily closed for 18 months to allow construction works associated with the River Mersey Flood Defence Project.
A prohibition of driving on Weir Lane, from its junction with Knutsford Road for a distance of 15 metres in a north easterly direction, will be introduced from Monday January 7 for about 18 months.
The works are to be undertaken in phases to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum.
Access to Victoria Park will be via the main access located to the north east of Weir Lane.
The closure is to allow for the construction works associated the project. The works will also include resurfacing works to the adjacent carriageway and footway, including kerb realignment.
