AN evening celebrating a year of success for Warrington’s Brighter Futures Team will take place on Wednesday, December 5 at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
Part of the borough council’s children and young people’s services, the Brighter Futures Team offer a whole range of services and opportunities for people between the ages of 14 to 99 who would like to volunteer, mentor, or would like support finding a job, writing a CV, and much more.
The evening will recognise the contribution and achievements of volunteers, mentors and learners.
Over the past 12 months the Brighter Futures team have been able to support:
*159 adults and 30 young people beginning their volunteering journey.
*34 mentors recruited and trained to work with 16-19 year olds not in education, employment or training.
*4 community groups in becoming self sufficient.
*96 parents to have 1:1 support with a learning champion.
*47 families with complex needs to access funded projects
