NUCLEAR industry workers have been giving Warrington Disability Partnership a facelift over the last couple of days.
Staff from Sellafield Ltd at Risley carried out the “community challenge” as part of a team building exercise.
Pauline Deans, corporate responsibility manager at Sellafield said: “The challenge helps employees to develop leadership, team working and observation skills and puts into practice the principles of social responsibility.
Brun Corbishley, assistant operations manager for WDP, said: “We really appreciate the support of Sellafield Ltd, which is helping to complete our workshop extension ready for scooter repairs.
” It is really important for us to be able to provide the repair service to the community, as it helps to keep people with mobility problems mobile.”
Malcolm Risely, capability manager at Sellafield added: “The community challenge has been set up as an opportunity for the teams to get to know each other in a fun, non-work environment, whilst having the satisfaction of putting something back into the local community.”
