THREE fire crews were mobilised to deal with a house fire at Warrington after reports that people might be trapped inside.
But on arrival at the scene, in Cartwright Street, crews confirmed there was nobody in the property.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze, which involved a gas boiler, using a hose reel jet.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the premises.
Crews from Warrington and Stockton Heath fire stations were involved in the operation.
