Homes hit by gas failure

1

ENGINEERS from National Grid are investigating the loss of gas supplies to homes at Latchford, Warrington.
Supplies failed across the area earlier today – with some properties completely cut off and others suffering from
low pressure.
A spokesman for National Grid said several hundred properties were affected.
Extensive work is being carried out in the area, as a result of flood defences being installed along Knutsford Road.
New water mains have also been laid.
But it is not clear if there is any connection between this and the gas failure.
