WARRINGTON singer Lucie Evans will be one of the local stars on show at Culture Warrington’s 10th birthday celebrations for the Pyramid this Thursday. (November 22)
Lucie aged 20, from Fearnhead, has wanted to be a performer for as long as she can remember, and this month she has released her first single.
She first found fame at the age of 15 when she won an online X Factor style competition with a £100,000 prize to help her launch her singing career.
After winning the competition Lucie was whisked off to LA to record songs with acclaimed producer Marshall Altman who has worked with big names such as Katy Perry.
She even performed in Johnny Depp’s restaurant, The Viper Rooms.
Lucie is now back with new material including her latest single “I Hope You’re Listening to the Radio” which she will be performing at Pyramid’s birthday party, along with a few birthday celebratory tunes.
She also performed at the Christmas lights switch on.
The celebration also includes performances by a range of local artists, including a large scale dance piece choreographed by Warrington’s own Lisi Perry of Collision Dance. Lisi has worked with local dance groups to create a spectacular ensemble performance with dancers from Fusion, Fused, GRACE, Urban Footsteps, Angel Dance Academy. The soundtrack will include performances by Woolston School Signing Choir and Wired for Sound, and the Peter Oakley Retrospective offers visual arts fans a real treat with previously unseen work from Peter’s personal collection on display.
Everyone is invited, so be at Pyramid at 6.30pm for a wonderful evening.
