POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a suspected arson attack on a car and caravan parked on a drive way in Manx Road, Warrington, which resulted in flames spreading to a bungalow and neighbouring property. 
The blaze started in the driveway of a house on Manx Road at about 5am on Friday and quickly spread to nearby properties.
Two fire engines from Warrington and one from Birchwood attended.
On arrival crews found the caravan and a car well alight. The flames had also spread to the roof of a bungalow and the front room and had also affected the roof of the adjacent bungalow.
Four fire fighters wore breathing apparatus and used four water hose reels to extinguish the blaze.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The British Red Cross also attended with their Fire and Emergency Support Service unit, To give practical help and support to the home owners. The Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) unit is based at Birchwood Fire station and is manned by a team of volunteers on call 6pm – 6am Monday-Friday and 24hrs at weekends.
