Santa Morley reveals all!

WARRINGTON’S captain fantastic Adrian Morley reveals all in his new book and hasn’t ruled out extending his playing career beyond the forthcoming season following his one year contract extension, which he signed just before leading the club into its first ever Grand Final at Old Trafford.
With three Challenge Cup winners medals in the past four years and a league leaders shield to add to his list of achievements, Morley still has plenty of hunger and desire to carry on winning with Warrington.
“I’ve been a bit unlucky with injuries during the past 12 months and a lot will depend on my fitness and whether I still have the hunger and desire – but I have not ruled out playing on.”
Morley will be 36 next May but is still loving the game and has brought out his “warts and all” autobiography which he is hoping will be a popular Christmas gift.
“It is a frank and honest account of my life,” said Morley, who dressed as Santa at his book launch for an exclusive warrington-worldwide photo shoot.
“I have done things which I am not proud of but I have also done a lot to be proud of.”
Morley has been the wrong side of the law a few trimes, including a drink driving conviction.
In his book he also accounts an arresting time in Lanzarote following a drinking session with team mates, shortly after being given the honour of being made club captain by former coach Paul Cullen.
“It was not a proud moment,” added Morley. “But I have grown and matured as a person. There was a big drinks culture amongst players in the past – but things have changed a lot now.”
Meeting his partner Clare and becoming a father of two young children has certainly had a calming influence on Morley on and off the field – and also helped extend his playing career.
Judging by the queues outside Wolfaware at the Halliwell Jones, Morley’s book looks set to be a big seller and comes on the back of his testimonial, awarded in recognition of his services to the game.
