Run Warrington for a day!

YOUNG people are being sought who like the chance to run Warrington for a day.
The town’s youth service is on the lookout for youngsters to take part in “Takeover Day” on Friday, November 23.
It’s a national initiative that gives children and young people the chance to work alongside adults and get involved in decision making, better understand the work of a particular organisation and have a say.
Last year children taking part made decisions on behalf of the Mayor, the council’s executive member for children and young people’s services and a number of councillors. The day was considered a great success.
IMPACT (Warrington Youth Council), Have Your Say (Children in Care) and Warrington Youth Service will oversee the recruitment process to ensure that people’s skills, experience and knowledge match the positions available so they can get the most out of the opportunity.
Anyone interested in taking part should request an application form from Marta Bober or Jamie Elkalah at Warrington Youth Service on 01925 851029.
