Recovery hub for addicts

0

AN innovative “Recovery Hub” hailed as the leading light in tackling addiction is to officially open its doors in Warrington.
The Museum Street based hub is believed to be the first of its kind in the UK, with the unique factor being it tackles both drug and alcohol addictions together and on one site.
It has already attracted interest from as far as Sweden, with a delegation of specialists coming over earlier this year on a fact-finding mission and were “very impressed” with what they saw.
The recovery hub aims to not only help people beat their addictions but to support them to live independently and to play a part in their local community.
National strategies are advising councils to put full recovery first so Warrington is ahead of the game.
The Mayor of Warrington Cllr Steve Wright will be unveiling a plaque at the official opening of the hub on Wednesday, October 31.
