POLICE and fire chiefs are appealing for information from the public after a wheelie bin was set alight in a children’s play area at Warrington.
The blaze was in Forbes Close, Birchwood last night and fire crews from the nearby Birchwood Fire Station extinguished it with a hose reel jet.
Anyone with information about how the fire was started is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Arson is suspected.
