Police probe suspicious fires

POLICE are investigating two unconnected fires in the Warrington area.
One involved a car in Waterways, Callands, with the vehicle completed destroyed and a smouldering wreck when firefighters reached the scene.
Crews use a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
The second fire involved a commercial bin at Tatton Court, Woolston where, again, a hose reel jet was used to put out the fire.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
In another incident, fire crews from Warrington and Stockton Heath went to Park Lane, Daresbury where a car had been involved in an accident.
A man was trapped in the vehicle and was cut free before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
