Help tackle youth unemployment

WARRINGTON Youth Council (Impact) is urging local people to support a petition to tackle youth unemployment.
The petition is calling on the Minister of Employment to provide further support by creating and finding, employment, apprenticeships and similar opportunities for young people.
Young people from Impact have helped design and put together the petition through their involvement with the Youthforia North West regional youth forum.
The petition calls on the Minister to look at:
*Improving the quality of careers advice for young people and to allow young people to reach opportunities more easily
*Developing support for young people searching for employment, focusing on face to face services
*Providing help to those who are out of employment such as building skills and general employability.
Iimpact is a youth forum made up of young people who want to have a say in how the town and services on offer can improve for them.
The petition can be signed until online at: http://www.petitiononline.co.uk/petition/tackling-youth-unemployment/4378 and will close on Saturday October 13.
