Festival of eastern promise

WARRINGTON’S Oriental Friendship Group is hosting a Mid-Autumn Festival for members of Far Eastern communities living in the town.
The event will to celebrate the second largest colourful and family orientated festival in the lunar calendar.
It takes place this Sunday from 12 noon to 4pm at Whitecross Community Centre,in Lexden Street.
There will be traditional paper lanterns, Chinese music, a demonstration of Taekwondo, traditional folk dancing and live opera singing.
In addition there will be calligraphy writing, Oriental food stalls and festive decorations.
