ADVICE on the Government’s welfare reforms is being offered to shoppers in Warrington.
Expert staff will be on hand to give advice about a wide range of issues including debt, benefits, housing, employment and training.
Warrington Borough Council and its partners have teamed up with Asda Cockedge to hold two drop in sessions.
They will be on Thursday October 11 from 11am to 3pm and Friday October 12 from 11am to 3pm.
Information is also available at www.warrington.gov.uk/welfarereform which offers a simple breakdown of what the changes are, how they affect residents, and helpful tools including a budget planner and information on family support.
Cllr Terry O’Neill, leader of the council, said: “The council and its partners are committed to providing support and guidance to residents through this period of change.
“If people do have concerns or questions about the impact of the reforms on themselves and their family or friends, they should take advantage of all the advice that is available.”
