Villagers quiz police candidate

RESIDENTS of Glazebury had an opportunity to quiz John Stockton, Labour’s candidate for the post of Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
Mr Stockton, a member of Halton Borough Council, visited the village with local councillor Chris Vobe as his campaign got under way.
The visit was designed specifically to speak with local people about their experiences of crime and anti-social behaviour
Cllr Vobe said: “It was delightful to welcome John to Glazebury and allow local people the opportunity to discuss the forthcoming Police and Crime Commissioner election first hand.
“People in my ward are rightly concerned about Tory plans to cut police numbers across Cheshire. Here in Culcheth and Glazebury, we’ve seen what a difference additional police and PCSOs can make.”
The Police and Crime Commissioner elections are scheduled to be held on November 15.
