Tractor unit blaze

FIRE crews from Warrington used back-pack extinguishers to tackle a blaze involving a tractor unit.
The vehicle was some distance from the road, off Tannery Lane, Penketh and firefighters had to proceed on foot to reach it.
The cause is believed to have been an electrical fault.
In a separate incident, fire crews from Warrington, Northwich and Altrincham were called to the M56 westbound carriageway near Lymm after a collision left a car on its roof on the hard shoulder.
An injured woman was taken to hospital by ambulance.
