Get ready for holiday boredom

2

IT’S halfway through the school summer holidays and the dreaded words, “I’m bored” are sure to pop up soon.
Warrington Borough Council has everything needed to keep the children entertained for free, from creative play sessions to fun in the park.
Family fun sessions are taking place at children’s centres where activities will include face painting, a creative sticker session, a messy play with gloop and parachute play and singing. Healthy snacks and milk and water will be available.
The free sessions are on Tuesday August 21 at Meadow View Children’s Centre – 10-11.30am and Butterflies Children Centre – 1.30-3pm.
Fun sessions are also on offer at various parks across the borough.
These are free drop in sessions for families which include outdoor games, face painting, a baby sensory centre and singing. The sessions will be from 10am-1pm at Sankey Valley Park on Wednesday August 22 and Orford Jubilee Park on Wednesday August 29.

  1. I notice that the council make no mention of the VPX event on Victoria Park. I find that very disappointing given that they should be backing it to the hilt.

It is still going on for the next two Tuesdays. 11.0am to 4pm.
