Dog rescued from River Mersey

FIRE crews and a rescue boat rushed to the scene when a dog was trapped on the banks of the River Mersey at Warrington..
The alarm was raised just before 5pm yesterday (Sunday) and firefighters together with the Rope Rescue Team from Knutsford attended the scene at Howley Lane. Crews found the dog was stuck on the river bank, and assisted it back onto dry land.
