PEOPLE who missed out on public meetings giving details of the controversial housing development at Peel Hall Farm, Warrington can still see the plans – thanks to a local councillor.
Cllr Geoff Settle was away when the meetings were held but wanted to make sure local people didn’t miss out.
He asked developers Satnam for copies of the exhibition boards and plans on display at the meetings – and the company provided them.
Now Cllr Settle has arranged for them to be displayed in a large window at Cinnamon Brow Farm Community Centre.
He said: “This outline planning application is causing a great deal of interest throughout Cinnamon Brow, Poplars and Hulme and Houghton Green, but many people missed the exhibition days last month and may want to know more about the proposed development.
“I was on holiday when the exhibitions took place and I didn’t want this application to go before the planning committee without local people getting a good sight of it.
“My ward has a history of developments that have gone ahead without local people’s knowledge and I didn’t want that to happen again on my watch”.
The plans will eventually be available online and at the planning department at New Town House, Warrington.
But until then they can be seen at the community centre.

Well done Geoff – I take it you will be actively fighting against this in the council?
Well done Geoff.
