Getting ready for Playday

NATIONAL Playday is Wednesday, August 1 – and Warrington is putting on a special show to mark the occasion.
Fun activities planned for the town centre between 10am and 4pm include a helter skelter, swing boats, fairground stalls, a swing band, Punch and Judy and much, much more!
The town centre will be jam-packed with entertainment, with activities in Time Square, Buttermarket Street, Market Gate and Bridge Street.
Theme for the campaign is “Get out and play”.
Playday is celebrated across the UK and highlights a child’s right to play and the importance of play in their lives.
