CANCER Research UK’s “Race for Life” at Arley Hall, twice postponed because of the weather, is now due to take go ahead on Sunday, August 19.
Heavy flooding of the venue forced organisers to call off the event on July 1 and again on July 22.
Event manager Debbie McConnell said: “We are very sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience caused by the second postponement. We hope everyone understands why we have had to do it. All participants will be contacted by Cancer Research UK.”
Participants who have already registered and want to take part on the new date do not need to do anything, as their pack and entry number will still be valid.
Women who can’t take part on the new date and want to swap to another event should call the Race for Life hotline on 0871 641 1111.
