Fire wrecks bedroom

EXTENSIVE damage was caused when fire broke out in the bedroom of a house at Warrington.
The blaze was on the first floor of a property in Old Liverpool Road, Great Sankey.
Fire crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze – but there was significant damage in the bedroom.
A ventilation unit was used to clear dense smoke from the house.
Two fire engines from Warrington were involved in the operation. No details of the cause have been given.
