Monaghan back in squad

HOOKER Michael Monaghan looks set to return to first team action for Warrington Wolves after a three month lay off following knee surgey.
Moanghan is named in the 19 man squad for Sunday’s clash with Hull FC kick off 3pm.
But there is no place for the injured Brett Hodgson and Richie Myler and David Solomona are still absent from the 19 despite returning to training.
The sides met in the opening round of the season coming away with a point apiece from a 20-20 draw.
The Wolves won last time out against the Leeds Rhinos with Hull narrowly beaten by Wakefield Wildcats. Both sides are battling it out in the top eight with the Wolves currently in second and Hull in sixth.
Wolves’ head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith said: “A lot of water has gone under the bridge since the last time we played each other. I think we will both look at ourselves and consider us better teams than the first round of the season so I don’t think we can read too much into that first game. Both are very good teams and are high up in the top eight. It will be a very competitive game and a tough game. They are a good team and we’ll give them a healthy respect and we also know we’ll have to play well to beat them. If we do that, if we play well, we’ll give ourselves every chance.”
