Briers out as Wolves bid to tame Wildcats

WARRINGTON Wolves boss Tony Smith has decided not to risk Lee Briers as the Wolves prepare to tackle the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Smith is expected to start with the same line up which performed so well against Bradford Bulls, although David Solomona returns to the 19. Briers has been out with a calf strain.
The Wolves will be looking to back-up the win over Bradford last time out with Wakefieldm thrown a surprise Super League lifeline, will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat to Crusaders.
Warrington won the away fixture earlier in the season but Head of Coaching and Rugby Tony Smith is expecting a fight-back from the Wildcats.
Smith said: “Wakefield weren’t pleased with their last performance so I think they will try and hit back pretty hard which is also good for us. At this position in the season, we would rather have them coming in good form and make us earn our position in the competition.”
