Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 3, 4, 6 and 15. The jackpot prize was not claimed and will be rolled-over to next week. A £25 consolation prize was awarded to a member of hospital staff.

Community fun
MEMBERS of the Dorchester Residents Association at Great Sankey are holding a community fun day at the Crosfields Recreations Ground, Hood Lane North today (Saturday). The event starts at 11am and will feature tombola, sports, games, etc.

Open day
STOCKTON Heath Fire Station is holding an open day tomorrow (Sunday) when visitors will be able to see a driving simulator, displays of modern and vintage fire-fighting appliances and demonstrations of how to deal with a chip pan fire. The day starts at 11am and continues until 4pm.

Illegal parking
ILLEGAL parking is posing problems and safety hazards at Penketh Medical Centre. Users are being urged to park properly, avoiding the double yellow lines near the site.

Rejected plans
PLANS to demolish a bungalow in Chelford Close, Stockton Heath, to make way for a two storey house with first floor balconies has been rejected by borough planning chiefs.
