Briers set to miss Giants' clash

WARRINGTON Wolves will be without influential half-back Lee Briers when they take on Huddersfield Giants in a table topping clash at the Galpharm Stadium on Friday night, kick off 8pm.
Briers suffered a dead leg in the defeat by Catalans but is expected to only be misisng for one week as Head of Coaching Tony Smith welcomes back Benny Westwood, Ben Harrison, Louis Anderson and Ryan Atkins to his 19 man squad.
He also expects hooker Michael Monaghan to be fit despite missing the second half against Catalans after taking a bang to the head.
The Wolves will be looking to make amends for their opening day defeat to the Giants in round 1 at Magic Weekend when they lost 18-28.
Both sides have won six games so far this season and are sitting first and second in the current table.
Smith expects this top of the table clash against his former club to be another great example of Rugby League in action.
