DESPITE announcing his retirement with Warrington Wolves prolific try scoring winger Chris Hicks looks set to carry on playing back home in Australia.
Hicks, who has been linked with a move to Paramatta, announced his shock retirement last week, opening up the option for the Wolves to swoop for fellow Aussie Joel Monaghan, without affecting the salary cap or overseas quota.
Now Hicks, who is still in the UK preparing to move back down under in time for Christmas, is weighing up his options for another season in Australia, with several offers on the table.
He says he feels he still has something left to offer the game and his main reason for retiring at Warrington was to enable his wife to pursue a teaching career in Australia.
Hicks also wanted to leave Warrington at the top of his game, with the memory of scoring a hat-trick at Wembley last August one of the best moments of his career.
