Briers set to miss Bulls

HALF-back Lee Briers has failed in his fitness battle to make the 19 man Warrington Wolves squad set to face Bradford Bulls on Saturday at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, kick-off 5.30pm.
Briers has failed to recover in time from the ankle injury he picked up against Wigan but fellow half-back Richie Myler and full-back Richie Mathers are both named in the 19 after missing last week’s victory over the Crusaders.
Looking ahead to the Bulls match Wolves boss Tony Smith said: “Bradford are in good form and have been playing pretty solid all year. They are gaining some confidence.
They’ve got some new players who are settling in well and they are finding some combinations so that makes them very dangerous. They will have some confidence after beating the current league leaders last week. They are a dangerous side, with good players and are very well coached. But these are the sorts of challenges we are looking for.”
19-man squad: 11 Louis Anderson 27 Vinnie Anderson 23 Ryan Atkins 4 Chris Bridge 10 Garreth Carvell 17 Simon Grix 13 Ben Harrison 5 Chris Hicks 14 Mickey Higham 3 Matt King 1 Richie Mathers 9 Michael Monaghan 8 Adrian Morley 7 Richie Myler 2 Chris Riley 26 David Solomona 12 Ben Westwood 29 Rhys Williams 16 Paul Wood
