Celebrating community handouts

A CONFERENCE is being held for all the organisations in Warrington that have benefitted from a local community fund.
The Grassroots Grants Conference, organised by Warrington Council for Voluntary Services (CVS), will be at Alford Hall, Manchester Road, on Wednesday March 24.
Karen Higham, of the CVS, said: “The programme has now been directing funds to great local community projects for almost a year and half – so we thought it must be time to celebrate.
“We are organising the first ever Grassroots Grants Conference for everyone who has successfully bid for their part of the grant pot since the very first assessment panel was held in November 2008.”
Those attending will be able to learn more about the fund and the different projects that have been helped, and will be able to display material about their group or organisation.
