NATURE lovers will debate topical issues when the Warrington Nature Conservation Forum meets at Risley Moss at 10.30 am today (Saturday). Updates will be given on conservation projects across the borough.
Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 1, 2, 3 and…no, it was 12! The jackpot prize went unclaimed and will be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.
Frog march
YOUNGSTERS are being invited to take part in the “Frog March” – the annual hunt for amphibians at Sankey Valley Park, Warrington – which will take place on Sunday, March 14. The event takes place between 1-4pm – and a good pair of wellies are strongly recommended!
Classic concert
PIANIST Martin Roscoe will appear with the Northern Chamber Orchestra at Warrington’s Parr Hall on
Thursday, March 11, in a concert of Viennese classics. Also on the bill will be the recently formed Warrington Singers.
House extension
PLANS for a two storey front extension and first floor rear and side extensions at Dane House, Windmill Lane, Appleton, have been approved by Warrington planners.
