Heart Appeal Needs £6,000

NEWBORN babies and infants will benefit if Warrington residents help the British Heart Foundation to meet a fundraising target.
The charity is £6,000 short of the £113,000 it needs to buy a 3D Echocardiograph machine. The machine is used to assess diseased heart valves and is especially useful for diagnosing small children as it is easy to do and doesn’t hurt.
Children’s Heart Appeal manager Shirley McNally said: “Heart disease is the UK’s biggest killer and we need you to help us to reach our target to buy this equipment to help children who come from miles to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
“This vital initiative can only be made possible through your donations of time and money and we really need the help of people in Warrington to help us make this final push.”
The Charity is a major funder and authority in cardiovascular research. It plays an important role in funding education, both of the public and of health professionals, and in providing life-saving cardiac equipment and support for rehabilitation and care
