STUDENTS from a Warrington college are taking part in the regional heats of a national business game at Liverpool.
Two teams from Priestley College will compete in the tough challenge aimed at raising awareness of careers in accountancy and organised by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
The heat of the Business, Accounting and Skills Education competition, on Thursday February 25, features teams (aged 16 to 18) from schools and colleges in the North West.
Youngsters will take on the role of chartered accountants and have two hours to analyse, discuss and decided on the next business steps of fictional organisations before presenting their ideas to a panel of business professionals.
Companies offering careers will stage displays and representatives will be on hand to discuss work with students. Business mentors will also help the teams.
The winners of the heat will go on to the national final which takes place in Birmingham on July 1.
