Hospital lottery
THREE winners shared the jackpot prize of £1,515 in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital – each receiving £505. Winning numbers were 7, 10, 11 and 16. A £25 consolation prize was awarded to a member of hospital staff.

Roof refusal
PLANS for new pitched roofs, together with cladding to front and rear dormers and erection of 1.8m high boundary fencing at a house in Hebden Avenue, Glazebury, Warrington have been thrown out by planning chiefs.

Guides’ celebration
CELEBRATIONS to mark a century of guiding will take place at Christ Church, Croft near Warrington on Monday (February 22). Rainbows, Brownies and Guides will take part, together with past leaders and Guide Commissioners. The event starts at 6.30pm.

DEVELOPMENT control chiefs have given the go-ahead for the demolition of a cottage in Hatton Lane, Hatton near Warrington and the re-construction of the building.

Hospice raffle
THE Millhouse pub at Cinnamon Brow will be holding a raffle night to raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice, Warrington on Saturday, March 6. Prizes include champagne, wine, chocolates and toys.

Cadet classrooms
WARRINGTON Sea Cadets have won planning consent for five new classrooms, with additional toilets, showers, etc at their headquarters in River Road, Latchford, Warrington.
