Watchman injured by teenage gang

AN elderly night watchman at Warrington was injured when he was harrassed by a gang of eight teenagers – three of them girls.
The 62-year-old was in a portable cabin on the Cantilever Bridge at Latchford when the gang surrounded him at about 10.45pm on Saturday (February 13).
When he told them to move on, one youth punched the cabin window, shattering the glass. When the watchman, aged 62, tried to open the metal door it was kicked back in on him, breaking his nose and causing cuts around his eyes.
The gang them moved off.
Police said today there were five boys and three girls in the group. One boy was carrying a bottle of alcopop, possibly WKD..
