Student double act shows talent

A STUDENT double act took the crowds by storm when Warrington’s Priestley College staged a talent show “Priestley’s Got Talent.”
Guitarist Chris Manning, 17 and vocalist Jack Campbell, 16, gave a rendition of Hero by Enrique in the final which saw students from the college showcase their talents.
After a keenly fought final the on-looking crowd voted Chris and Jack as favourites – while also venting their frustrations towards the “opinionated” judges.
The pair are now considering putting their prize money to recording a CD.
Chris said: “Priestley’s Got Talent gave us the opportunity to show our abilities on stage in front of an audience, made up from fellow students and we were obviously very pleased with the result.”
College marketing officer Nat Ashurst said: “It was great to see all the acts give it a real good go on the stage. The standard was excellent and I’m sure Chris and Jack may be able to use it as a springboard for future success.”
