A BRAND new theatre company, founded by a former Warrington resident, is to give three performances of a highly acclaimed play locally.
The Broken Cloud Theatre Company was launched by Johnny Kindersley with a commitment to creating innovative and exciting theatre and promoting and performing it in the North West.
Its first production, “Hitler killed my Canary” will be presented at Cinnamon Brow Community Centre, Fearnhead on April 2, at Stockton Heath Methodist Hall on April 3 and at Appleton Thorn Village Hall on April 6. Each performance will be at 8pm.
The play, a dark musical comedy with tragic undertones, is one Johnny has worked on several times previously. It was co-written by Paul Stebbings who has directed a number of plays for Johnny over the last 10 years. It has been performed at the Edinburgh Festival and numerous other venues.
Johnny was born in Appleton and grew up in the local area before spending 10 years touring Europe with Munich-based TNT Theatre.
