Revised plan for care home

NEW proposals for the demolition of two detached houses to make way for a three storey residential care home have been submitted to planning chiefs at Warrington.
Developers Villafont Ltd won planning consent for the development in London Road, Appleton a year ago.
Now they are seeking a revised plan which increases the number of bedrooms from 73 to 76.
Planning officers are recommending the scheme be approved. They say the scheme is almost identical to the approved plan, other than for minor internal alterations.
Appleton Parish Council has lodged an objection on the grounds of overdevelopment of the site and highway and pedestrian safety in the area.
Neighbours have not objected and there has been support from seven residents of the Stockton Heath and Grappenhall areas.
