A YOUNG mother was robbed by two men who forced their way into her home at Warrington.
The offenders took the keys to her blue Peugeot 307 car, searched her house and made off in the car with a quantity of property.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident in the Orford Road area of the town, which occurred at about 8.45pm on Monday, January 4.
The mother, aged 21, was badly shaken by the incident and suffered a minor injury to her face during a struggle with one of the men. But she did not require hospital treatment.
Her nine-month-old baby was in the house at the time but was not harmed.
The woman answered a knock at her door and was confronted by two men, one brandishing a hammer. They pushed her back into the house and there was a brief struggle.
The pair then searched the house, took various items and then took the keys to the car which they then drove off in.
The vehicle, which has not been seen since, was last seen going towards the Hilden traffic island
One of the offenders was aged in his 20s, about 5ft 2 inches tall and of medium build. He wore a dark, hooded coat and had a brown scarf covering his face.
The second offender is described simply as being male. He was carrying a hammer.
