WARRINGTON’S Golden Square Shopping Centre has announced the first winner of its Christmas Wishes campaign as young mum Hannah O’Brien.
Hannah, aged 23, was nominated by her mum Martina as part of Golden Square’s Christmas Wishes campaign which has asked shoppers to nominate special people across Warrington who deserve to have their wish come true this Christmas.
Hannah has two sons aged 2 and 4 and was nominated by her mum for the award as she provides 24/7 care for her eldest son, Taylor, who was born with cystic fibrosis.
Martina said: “Hannah is an inspiration as she always thinks of others before herself.
“She provides complete care for Taylor looking after his medication and physiotherapy all day, every day, but always keeps smiling and never complains. My Christmas wish is for Hannah to be able to take the boys on their first ever holiday as she truly deserves it.”
Thanks to Co-op Travel in Golden Square, Hannah and her two children will enjoy an amazing four day break at Disneyland Paris in February where the whole family will get the chance to enjoy the rides and meet Mickey and the gang.
Flights were donate by Escape and accommodation provided by can-be-done. The Co-operative bank also donated spending money for the family to ensure they have a very memorable trip.
Hannah said: “I really can’t believe that this is happening to me.
“I’m completely stunned that my mum would even nominate me to have my Christmas Wish granted as I don’t see what I do as anything different to any mum in my situation.
“Taylor suffering from cystic fibrosis is something that we cope with together as a family so I never dreamed that I’d be the first Christmas Wishes winner at Golden Square and am very excited that the whole family will now enjoy the trip of a lifetime!”
Ian Cox, marketing manager of Golden Square said: “Hannah’s modesty just goes to show how much of a worthy winner she is. Despite her young age she shows incredible maturity and is a very giving person. I hope the whole family enjoy this amazing holiday.”
