BOROUGH council chiefs are urging Warrington people to get out and enjoy the great outdoors over the festive period.
They say there is always something going on in Warrington’s parks and green spaces and families bored with sitting in front of the television should try something different.
On Sunday, December 20 there’s an opportunity to make your own Christmas wreath from the trees and plants in Sankey Valley Park.
On Sunday January 3, there’s a chance to make a New Year Resolution and joining rangers for a walk in Walton Gardens or make a bird feeder for our feathered friends.
A council spokeswoman said: “From frog marches, afternoon strolls and treasure trails to volunteering opportunities, music recitals and egg hunts – there’s good wholesome fun for the whole family to be had all year round.
