Thugs attack cyclist in street

POLICE at Warrington today issued an appeal for witnesses of a street robbery involving three thugs.
The offenders attacked a 42-year-old pedal cyclist in Winwick Street, near to the bus station, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
They tried to punch him, dragged him from his cycle which they then stole.
The victim was left badly shaken but not seriously hurt.
Police said the attack took place at around 2.25am as the cyclist was riding along Winwick Street.
He was confronted by three men who stopped him, dragged him from his cycle and tried to punch him.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to call 0845 458 0000 and ask for DC John Evans or the confidential Crimestoppers line 0800 555 111.
