A WARRINGTON-based company is providing sponsorship to Cheshire Women’s County Cricket Club.
The club has secured a sponsorship deal with Route Organisation, a provider of business solutions to the leisure industry, which will provide funding to the end of the 2010 season.
Alan Thomas, club funding and sponsorship co-ordinator, said: “Our future in such a competitive league next season will be made a lot easier with the help of Route.”
Cricket fans will have a chance to see wicketkeeper Lauren Griffiths, who was part of the England squad that won the 50-over World Cup in Australia in May.
The club also has a talented group of youngsters coming through from the Cheshire Under 17 Girls Team, who this year were the overall Cheshire Team of the Year.
These include Cheshire Youth Player of the Year Lorna Thomas, as well as Hannah Gradwell, Kate Coppack and Emma Lingard.
