Smash and grab raid at jewellers

POLICE are hunting a smash and grab raider who got away with jewellery from a town centre shop at Warrington today.
The man – said to be black – smashed the display window at Lepp’s jewellers in Bridge Street using a hammer.
He grabbed items from the display and fled on a pedal cycle.
Police said he was wearing a grey, stripey top and was carrying a black holdall.
Anyone who witnessed the burglary is asked to call police on 0845 458 0000 or the confidential Crimestoppers line 0800 555 111.
