ALEX Wotherspoon, of the BBC TV programme “The Apprentice” will talk to Warrington businesses about the benefits of networking next week.
The former contestant will be guest speaker at the Grassroots Networking Group event on October 29. He’ll also be telling attendees about his time on the hit TV show.
Warrington Grassroots is a three-year programme funded by the Office of the Third Sector (OTS), a government run scheme supporting voluntary and community enterprises.
The event will take place at 6pm in the Debenhams Restaurant in Golden Square Shopping Centre, Warrington in partnership with Go Networking, a local business networking facility.
Alex Wotherspoon (pictured) said, “I know how important it is for small and medium size employers to work effectively within their local community. Networking events such as the one planned for later this month should be incorporated into your business strategy, especially in today’s economic climate. Networking has played a key role in my own personal success.”
Nigel Bacon, chief executive for Warrington Council for Voluntary Service said: “We are delighted to have Alex on board and we encourage businesses to come along and find out more about the benefits of Networking and Warrington Grassroots.”
If you would like to attend the Grassroots Networking event, then you can book on-line by visiting http://grassrootsnetworkingoct09.eventbrite.com Tickets costs £15.00 with £5.00 going to the Warrington Grassroots Endowment Challenge.
