A HAIR and beauty event raised £600 for community, voluntary and faith groups across Warrington.
The event – to celebrate the launch of FAME! The Musical – was staged by Debenham’s and Johnson’s Hairdressing in aid of Warrington Grassroots.
The money raised on the night will be match-funded by the Government – meaning £1,200 will be available.
All guests received goodie bags as well as prizes donated by Johnson’s Hairdressing, Debenham’s, Village Hotel and Andrew Collier Photography.
Nigel Bacon, chief executive of Warrington Council for Voluntary Service said: “A huge thank you to Johnson’s Hairdressing and Debenham’s for their ongoing commitment to helping the local community.
“Warrington Grassroots issues grants of up to £5,000 to community groups in the area.
“We hope to host similar events as the FAME! Hair and Beauty Event in the future.”
