WARRINGTON Wolves Head of Coaching

Tony Smith has recalled Winger Kevin Penny and young forward Steve

Pickersgill from their on loan period at Widnes and both could be

called into action for the re-match at Wigan on Friday.
With a number of players carrying knocks Smith is keen to ensure he has a large enough squad of players to select from as he bids to ensure Warrington can finish the season on a high by making the play-offs.
Meanwhile Warrington’s home fixture against Wakefield Wildcats has been moved forward and will now be played on Friday August 21 kick-off 8pm.
The game has been brought forward to allow the Wolves extra time to prepare for their Wembley trip the following week.
Historically the Wolves have played Wakefield on noteable occasions in the past. Remember the last game at Wilderspool? The emotion, the noise, the passion…Remember the first game at The Halliwell Jones? The excitement, the tension, the victory…
The Wolves took on the Wildcats in both and now Warrington are aiming to make their last home game before the big match at Wembley just as special!
