Charlene is new face of Town!

THE new face of Warrington Town Football Club is 18-year-old Charlene Evans from Great Sankey who was the inaugral winner of Miss Warrington Town.
More than 100 girls entered the competition organised by former Miss Warrington Holly Ikin, which was narrowed down to 20 for the final which took place at the club’s Cantilever Park ground.
Runner up was Susan Clarke and third was Sian Vance.
The winner of the event, sponsored by Warrington Market and compared by local radio presenter Pete Pinnington, received an amazing selection of prizes including: a £100 Hair and Beauty voucher for Jakata salon, a styling consultation at Dolly Daydream Boutique and a full outfit from the store, an overnight stay at the luxurious Daresbury Park Hotel, a photoshoot with Warrington photographer Nick Giles, a frontcover on warrington worldwide, a hamper provided by Warrington Market and a VIP membership to Halo nightclub, a two year modelling and television contract with a leading Northwest agency.
The top 3 will also receive a free makeover at The Body Shop with all contestants receiving product samples!!
The contest also helped raise more than £3,200 in aid of the The Joshua Foundation, a charity created in 1998 to provide holidays and experiences for children and their families, where the child is diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The fund-raising was part of Holly’s requirements as a finalist in the England heat of Miss Universe which takes place a week on Sunday.
Charlene, a performing arts student at Warrington Collegiate, was thrilled and clearly overwhelmed when announced winner and is looking forward to the exciting year ahead as the new face of Warrington Town Football Club.
“It is only just starting to sink in,” said Charlene, who was entering a pageant for the first time.
Warrington Town Chief Executive Gary Skentelbery said: “I would like to thank Holly for all her hard work and also say a big thank you to everyone who supported the event.
“It provided a fantastic event at the club which hopefully we can now repeat on an annual basis.”
