High winds damage supermarket roof

FIRE crews were called out to carry out safety work on the roof of the Tesco store in Winwick Road, Warrington.
High winds were blamed for causing the damage which caused a dangerous situation.
Firefighters used a hydraulic platform to reach the roof and made it safe by remove about eight feet of guttering.
Permanent repairs will be carried out later.
